About Southern Shalom
Welcome to Southern Shalom, where Southern grit meets Jewish soul. I’m our fearless founder, Queen Daisy Chain.

Who is Daisy?
With a Master’s in Economics and a background in outdoor power tools, I’ve spent years as a technical writer and content strategist. In my latest corporate role, I served as a senior writer and editor for a popular lawn care blog.
But at my core, I’m just a small town Jewish girl, living life in a redneck world. I’m a Florida native who has also lived in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia. After living across the Deep South, I created this space to bridge the gap between faith, culture, and country living.
What’s Your Mission?
Southern Shalom is a project dedicated to building bridges. It’s about finding the common ground between different faiths while staying true to our roots. Whether we’re discussing life in the Ocala National Forest or sharing a meal, the goal is authentic connection.
You can support Southern Shalom by buying me a beer.
What Does Southern Shalom Do?
Southern Shalom publishes well-researched articles on Southern life, told from a redneck Jew’s perspective. Our blog includes articles on recreation, lawn care, and food.
